Old School Music
Posted by Marie Foster on

Hello and blessings to you all, I am an older (50) listener and I love your station,103.10 here in Colorado Springs. I am at home a lot lately and am listening to your station more than usual. The songs are fantastic but a bit repetitive. Is it possible to play some of the old songs from Keith Green and Rich Mullins (both are with the Lord) keep their memory alive so to speak? I would recommend 1 oldie every 3 hours. These guys were revolutionaries in the Christian music industry in the 70's, 80's and 90's. Songs like Your love broke through, Halleluiah Song, Make my life a prayer, Oh Lord your Beautiful, I want to be more like Jesus, There is a Redeemer, Create in me a clean heart, Holy Holy Holy. Anyway they effected my walk with the Lord profoundly. Since day one I have had to fight(in spirit) those who would want me to conform to their Religion(Pharisees)verses Relationship and I think Keith and Rich were like a modern day Peter and Paul for many of us. Anyway that's my 2 cents. Thanks Marie

I am puzzeled about why your station is not playing such music as Audio Adrenaline, and Colton Dixon. some of this music is excellent, and creative, spiritually uplifting. also, I noted that you spent a week, soliciting for blood water missions , which is an excellent cause. why not plug Audio Adrenalines new album Kings and Queens that donates the entire proceeds to the album to the Orphanage mission in Haiti. From the beginning this project was meant to be a love offering to the children. I don't know how the songs are chosen to be played on the radio, but its hard to understand why the east coast is getting stuff we're not. also, why are you holding back? do you need permission from producers, advertisers? there is good music out there, Is christian Rock prohibited? why play the same songs over and over. Variety? samples from albums?. afraid of offending someone? is the Portland area too liberal. Even Seattle is hearing the good stuff.
